Fish Fry – Malayalee

Ingredients:

1kg Fish
4 Red chillies
A few Peppercorns
¼ tsp Turmeric
4 flakes Garlic
4 bulbs Red onions
Salt to taste
Coconut oil

Methods:

Clean fish. Wash thoroughly in several rinses of water. A little lime juice can be mixed in the last rinse. Drain thoroughly. Grind onions, red chillies, peppercorns, turmeric, garlic and salt. 4, Smear on fish; set aside for an hour. Heat a small quantity of oil in a frying pan. Shallow fry rash on both sides till brown and fairly crisp. Drain each piece on the side of the frying pan away from direct heat for about 2 to 3 minutes before removing.
